Car stolen from Maplewood Jack in the Box

The employee left her car running and it was gone when she returned.

MAPLEWOOD, MO. - Maplewood police hope surveillance video will help them catch some car thieves.

A Jack in the Box employee was warming up her car back in December when her Mercury Milan disappeared.

Security video shows the suspects' van entering the fast food parking lot on Manchester Road. Then a man hops into the car and takes off.

Police say it's a common cold weather crime. They warn drivers to never leave a running car unattended.

The car was later found in north St. Louis. The thieves burned the seats to destroy any evidence.

If you have information about the crime, you're asked to call Maplewood Police at (314) 645-3000.
