Central West End Bank of America branch robbed; person in custody

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police have a man in custody in connection with a bank robbery in the Central West End.

Police said a man walked into the Bank of America branch in the 4600 block of Lindell Boulevard at 12:07 p.m. and handed the teller a note announcing the robbery. He did not display or imply he had a weapon, and ran toward Euclid with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A 31-year-old man was taken into custody in the 4400 block of St. Louis Avenue.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and warrants are being considered.
