Drive-by shooting in north city leaves one injured

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A 22-year-old man is in stable condition after being wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday morning in the Walnut Park West neighborhood.

The shooting took place just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of Goodfellow Boulevard and Lalite Avenue.

Police said the victim was driving south on Goodfellow when a black Chevy Trailblazer pulled alongside his vehicle. A passenger in the Trailblazer pointed a gun at the victim and opened fire.

The victim was shot once in the thigh but managed to drive himself to the hospital.

Police have not identified a motive or suspects in the shooting.
