Facebook post leads to shooting, police pursuit

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A Facebook post caused a shooting and police pursuit, which ended in an accident Wednesday night.

The Northwoods police chief says the incident started at a home in the 6600 block of Kenwood in Northwoods. He says three women and a man showed at the home and started shooting, because of a Facebook post from September 2013.

When officers arrived, the suspects left the scene in two vehicles: a truck with a man and one of the women, and a vehicle containing the remaining females.

Officers chased both vehicles into the City of St. Louis. The truck crashed on Bircher, just west of Union. The man and woman were taken into custody.

The two women in the car are still on the loose.
