Former Valley Park mayor pleads guilty

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) – The former mayor of Valley Park, Mo. pleaded guilty Tuesday to DWI, resisting arrest, assault of a Byrnes Mill police officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nathan Grellner, 28, resigned from his position in July 2012 after the June 2012 incidents. He is also accused of using city funds for personal purchases.

In July 2013 Grellner was charged with identity theft after obtaining a credit card under his estranged wife's name, social security number, and other information.

On Tuesday, Grellner received a suspended execution of sentenced of two years probation and fines of $800.
