Franklin Co. deputies seek burglary suspects

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. – Franklin County police are looking for the person responsible for a burglary Dec. 18 at the VFW hall on North Service Road.

Sheriff Gary F. Toelke with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded to a report of an alarm sounding at the facility, and when they arrived they found the door had been pried open. Only cash had been taken during the burglary.

Surveillance footage shows two male suspects entering the building at 5:01 a.m. They are described as average height and weight, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans.

One wore a mask and white tennis shoes. He appeared to have either a shaved head or short-cropped hair.

The other suspect wore a ski mask, hood, and black tennis shoes with white soles. Those shoes may be Adidas brand.

Toelke says the suspects drove in from the west side of the road in a mid-'90s Dodge or ford minivan. The vehicle did not have license plates. They left leaving east onto North Service Road.

Anyone with information about the crime or identity of the suspects is asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 636-583-2560. Callers can remain anonymous.
