Gunman sought for south STL murder

ST. LOUIS – One man is dead after a shooting early Tuesday morning in south St. Louis.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Bowen, near the corner of Michigan, at 1:55 a.m.

When police arrived they found 37-year-old Hoa Le lifeless behind the building. He had been shot in his chest, thigh, and upper and lower back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 33-year-old man told police he and Le were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by a man who announced a robbery. He said Le tried to run from the vehicle, but the suspect shot him before leaving the area.

No suspects are in custody.
