Jefferson County man faces child exploitation charges

TROY, Mo. (KSDK) – A 34-year-old man has been charged for taking photos and videos of children, according to Troy Police Department.

Jeremy Hobbs faces a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor child after previously being charged for child molestation, according to Troy police.

Late last month, Troy police received a tip that more than 1,900 photos and 200 video files of child pornography had been found in Hobbs' former High Ridge apartment.

Police found that two of the images of a juvenile had been taken within Troy, Mo. city limits, and one of Hobbs' relatives confirmed that the images were taken at her home.

Jefferson County Sheriff deputies arrested Hobbs Tuesday, while he was out on bond for the child molestation charge, which also occurred in Troy.

Hobbs is being held in Lincoln County Jail without bond.

Troy police believe that Hobbs' could have a number of other victims. If you or someone you know has more information, you should contact Troy Police Department, Detective Bureau at 636-528-4725.
