Man accused of stomping kitten to death at MetroLink platform

He boarded the bus before anyone had time to react and was eventually arrested on the bus at College Station.

BELLEVILLE, ILL. - A man remains in jail after he killed his kitten at a MetroLink platform on Friday.

Decarlos Johnson-Foston, 23, was at the Belleville MetroLink platform waiting to board a train with a kitten on his shoulder. A security officer told him he wouldn’t be allowed to take the kitten on the train and Johnson-Foston threw the kitten on the ground and stomped on it until it was dead.

He boarded the bus before anyone had time to react and was arrested on the bus at College Station.

Johnson-Foston was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and remains in custody at St. Clair County Jail. His bond is set at $75,000.
