Man charged for bizarre Bank of America heist

Los Angeles (KCAL/CNN) - California police arrested a man in connection with a bizarre bank heist in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Ray Vega, 33, was arrested last week and charged with conspiracy and robbery.

He was released on $100,000 bail.

Authorities are not saying whether Vega was involved with the bank manager, who you see in the video.

The woman claimed she was kidnapped September 5th and forced to rob her own bank after thieves strapped a bomb to her chest.

It turned out to be a fake.

The victim said she followed instructions to throw the money out the bank's back doors.

The robbers drove away with the money in a white car.
