A man who police said was shooting out of a moving car in Pine Lawn, Missouri, was arrested with a semi-automatic hand gun and a magazine capable of holding 100 rounds.
A press release from the North County Police Cooperative said Dajuan Kirkland, 27, was arrested in St. Louis after a car and foot chase by North County Police Cooperative officers.
Police said the incident started when an officer saw Kirkland shooting out of the car on 4300 block of Oakwood Avenue in Pine Lawn Monday evening. A car chase in pursuit of Kirkland ended behind a home on the 1100 block of St. Louis Avenue. Kirkland then jumped out of the car and ran off, but police caught him and took him in to custody.
While inspecting his car, police said they found an HK416 hand gun equipped with a fully-loaded double drum magazine capable of holding 100 rounds. Police also said they found "a large amount of suspected narcotics."
Dajuan Kirkland is facing one count of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of resisting arrest, and several other charges pending. He is being held on a $50,000, cash-only bond.
