Mizzou basketball player arrested twice in 24 hours

COLUMBIA, Mo. – A University of Missouri basketball player was arrested for a second time Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hours after his first arrest.

James Zach Price, 20 was arrested around 3:05 p.m. for second-degree domestic assault and second-degree assault at his home in the 3000 block of Troyer Drive.

Police say a man and a woman, both 23, reported they were in their vehicle near Bethel Church Road and Route K Wednesday afternoon when they were intentionally rammed by Price, who was in his vehicle. The victims reported the incident to police and met with officers to file a report.

Several witnesses were interviewed by officers, who investigated the incident until the end of their shift.

Price was arrested early Thursday morning after a second incident with the same victims. Police allege Price punched the male victim and pushed the female victim to the ground when she tried to intervene. He was taken into custody for third-degree domestic assault and third-degree assault.

On Thursday afternoon the officer investigating the first incident followed up with the first case and arrested him for a second time.
