Montgomery City bank robbed Wednesday morning

MONTOGMERY CITY, Mo. – Police are investigating a bank robbery in Montgomery City.

Chief Phil Ahern with the Montgomery City Police Department says a man walked into First Bank around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from a teller and indicated he was armed.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man left in a small black car.

Ahern describes the suspect as a tall Caucasian man with short light brown or blonde hair with a thin build. He says the man appeared to be in his mid-20s. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with the collar turned up, and a blue hat with a Nike swoosh on it.

Anyone with information about the robbery or identity of the suspect should call Montgomery City police.
