Murder victim's family increases reward

ST. LOUIS - The family of a man gunned down in south St. Louis hopes an increased reward leads to an arrest.

Alando Scott was shot and killed in the 7800 block of Goya Feb. 3. Scott's family has raised about $1,200 to go along with the CrimeStoppers reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Witnesses told police a newer model two-door black Nissan Altima or Acura may have been involved in the crime.

"We want a conviction. So we're hoping someone comes forward, tells what they know, what they seen. As the police said, it's not about what you're doing and what's going on in your life. It's just trying to help solve a murder," said Redale Jones.

Anyone with information on Scott's murder can call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
