Payless store robbed at gunpoint

FESTUS, Mo. – Festus police are looking for a man who robbed a Payless Shoe Source at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

Chief Timothy Lewis says the suspect entered the store in the 1000 block of West Gannon Drive at 3:11 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 50s or early 60s, standing between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue zip-up jacket, green undershirt, blue jeans, and a hat. He had blood on his nose.

Lewis says the suspect was last seen running north across the parking lot toward the Express Mart gas station.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact Festus police.
