Person of interest in fatal hit-and-run accident taken into custody

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – Police have taken into custody a person of interest in a fatal hit-and-run accident along Olive Boulevard last week, according to a Chesterfield Police spokesman.

Police listed a woman as a person of interest in an accident that killed Roy Joseph, of Chesterfield, last week. Joseph's body was found in a preschool yard Thursday morning.

Evidence found at the scene of the accident lead investigators to a 2004 white Toyota Sienna minivan, which is owned by the woman, but she has not been charged in the incident.

Police are seeking charges with the prosecuting attorney's office Wednesday morning.
