Person of interest questioned in Iron County man's death

IRONTON, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Missouri's Iron County are questioning someone they describe as a person of interest after a man's body was found near Ironton.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Mo. reports that the body of 43-year-old Carl Risher of the Ironton area was found Monday afternoon in a driveway along a county road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is planned.

Sheriff Roger Medley says the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is assisting the county in the investigation.
