Police: Bank teller, husband staged Florissant robbery

FLORISSANT, Mo. (KSDK) – Florissant police arrested a bank teller and her husband for a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery, according to Officer Andy Haarmann.

Brianna Kirk-Simpson, 20, and Joshua Kirk, 23, face charges of felony stealing, according to St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's office.

Florissant police responded to a robbery of First Bank, which is located inside of a Dierberg's on North Highway 67.

A man entered the bank, gave a note to Kirk-Simpson, who was a teller at the bank, and left with an unknown amount of money, according to police.

Through the course of investigation, Kirk-Simpson told officers during her interview that she and her husband staged the robbery, and she was arrested. Police also found and arrested Kirk, who confessed to the robbery, following the incident.

Both are being held in St. Louis County Jail with Kirk-Simpson on $10,000 bond and Kirk on $60,000 bond.

Police recovered the money, and no one was injured in the robbery.
