Police say an early morning shooting may have been random.

FESTUS, MO. - Police say an early morning shooting may have been random.

It happened around 1:20 Friday morning on Ninth Street in Festus.

Police say a 30-year-old man was sitting in his car when the suspect came up and started arguing with him. Then, the suspect shot the victim several times.

The victim ran to a nearby residence for help. He told officers he didn't know the shooter, and didn't know why he was targeted.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
