Police investigate north St. Louis carjacking, arson

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Police are investigating a carjacking and arson incident that happened early Tuesday morning in north St. Louis.

The incident occurred in the 5100 block of Highland where a man reported that his pick-up truck had been stolen.

The man said when he attempted to park his truck in front of his girlfriend's house, an armed man approached, ordered him out of the car and the robber sped off with it.

While police interviewed the carjacking victim, police responded to an alley fire five blocks away in the 4700 block of Ashland, where they found the truck engulfed in flames.

Police don't have any suspects at this time and are continuing to investigate.
