Police: Man breaks into home, cooks meth

LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. – A 51-year-old Hawk Point man is accused of burglarizing a home to cook meth.

Police were called to the 900 block of West Cherry Street in Troy May 31 by a homeowner who said a man he didn't know broke into his home and started cooking meth. Troy police took Keith Ferdinand into custody a few blocks from the victim's home.

Officers with the Lincoln County Narcotics Enforcement Team responded to the home and found a "shake and bake" meth lab. The items were safely removed from the home.

Bergman is charged with first-degree burglary and attempted manufacturing of a controlled substance. He is held at the Lincoln County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
