Police shoot suspect in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Wednesday night in north St. Louis.

Chief Sam Dotson with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were called to the 4900 block of Natural Bridge Road for a report of two men holding up at McDonalds.

One suspect was shot by an officer in front of the nearby Walgreens store. That person was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Dotson says approximately 12 people were inside the restaurant at the time of the attempted robbery. Both suspects are in custody.

No officers or restaurant patrons were injured.
