Shoe Carnival looters surveillance video released

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police have released surveillance video of suspects wanted for looting a south city Shoe Carnival store earlier this week.

More than 30 suspects smashed out the front window of the store in the 3500 block of Bamberger just before midnight on Monday.

Here is the video:

Investigators believe this same group was involved in a similar looting scenario at a Phillips 66 in the 2100 block of Choteau later that evening. During this incident a total of 10 suspects smashed out the front window and stole cigarettes, candy, and snacks. The suspects fled in three vehicles, one of which was described as a late 1990s to early 2000s silver, 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix.

If you recognize any of the people in either video, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

Police believe this is a copycat crime after Sunday night's looting during the Ferguson riots.
