South STL carjacking injures man; woman arrested

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A woman has been arrested in connection to a south St. Louis carjacking that injured one man Sunday morning.

According to police, three people approached a 38-year-old man and attempted to steal his car in the 3500 block of Bingham around 9:30 a.m.

The group forced the man into the trunk and drove to an alley on Liermann.

The group demanded the man get out of the car and assaulted him, according to police.

The group then left with the car.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he is in stable condition.

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested, according to police, while another man and woman remain at large.

The police also recovered the stolen car in the alley at Liermann and Giles.
