St. Louis Community Credit Union robbed

ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after a south city credit union was robbed Monday afternoon.

Police say a man walked into St. Louis Community Credit Union in the 4400 block of Chippewa at 12:26 p.m. and announced a robbery. He implied he had a weapon, but did not show one.

He ran from the credit union east on Chippewa.

The suspect is described as an African-American man between 35 and 45-years-old. He stands between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, has a slender build, dark brown complexion, and goatee with a slight beard. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, off-white pants, and dark Nike tennis shoes with red shoelaces.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
