Stray rescue noticing a pattern of abuse

ST. LOUIS - Some animal activists in St. Louis say they're seeing some especially cruel cases of animal abuse.

In recent weeks, Stray Rescue of St. Louis has received a number of dogs with bullet wounds.

One dog was also severely beaten, one of her legs had to be amputated. Her jaw was broken as well.

Nearly half of all dogs taken in by Stray Rescue have been shot, but they say the recent cases are far more brutal.
