Suspicious fire set at probation & parole offices

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The St. Charles Police Department is investigating a suspicious fire early Wednesday morning at the officers of the Missouri State Probation and Parole in the 200 block of Compass Point Drive.

Office Erik Lawrenz says firefighters were called to the location at 5:13 a.m. when someone called about an alarm sounding. St. Charles firefighters were able to extinguish the fire but noticed one office window had been broken. Lawrenz says the fire appears to have been intentionally set.

Lawrenz says they do not have information about a potential suspect at this time.
