CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KSDK) - A 47-year-old Chesterfield man was arrested last Friday amid accusations he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a juvenile under the age of 17.

The man, identified as Javier Pozo, is a private tennis instructor, employed with the Miller Tennis Academy, which is an independent contractor with Forest Lake Tennis Club. He had been hired by parents to provide lessons to students at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School. Pozo is not an employee of the school.

Pozo was charged with second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy.

The following statement was provided by Forest Lake Tennis Club:
"We have learned that an instructor with Miller Tennis Academy has apparently been charged by authorities based on allegations of conduct purportedly with a minor. Miller Tennis Academy provides tennis lessons to many tennis players, including certain of our members. We are unaware of the factual basis for the allegations or where any alleged conduct purportedly occurred. We will continue to monitor information and, of course, cooperate with authorities to the extent such cooperation is requested. Forest Lake Tennis Club."
