Three charged for O'Fallon, Mo. robbery

O'FALLON, Mo. (KSDK) - The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged three people for their alleged involvement in a robbery involving power tools last week.

According to O'Fallon Chief of Police Roy Joachimstaler, police were called to a store in the 8500 block of Mexico Road.

Two men attempted to steal power tools and accessories. When the manager confronted them and attempted to stop them from leaving, one of the suspects pulled a knife and threatened to stab the manager. The suspects fled in a vehicle occupied by a woman and another man.

The two men who took the power tools were later taken into custody, along with the woman in the car, Joachimstaler said.

Twenty-two-year-old Blake Edgar and 21-year-old Ashley Arnold were each charged with accessory to first-degree robbery, accessory to armed criminal action, and resisting arrest. The third suspect, identified as 42-year-old Daniel McManness, was charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and resisting arrest. All three are being held on $200,000 bond.

The fourth suspect got away, but was arrested June 30. His name will be released when he's charged.
