Woman charged in fatal north STL stabbing

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A 33-year-old man has been stabbed to death in a north St. Louis home, and a family member has been taken in custody, according to St. Louis Police.

Police responded to a home in the 6000 block of West Florissant for a cutting. Upon arrival, officers found Tyrone Barnett with a stab wound to his neck on the sidewalk of the home. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

According to police, Barnett and 24-year-old Tyianna Motton argued prior to the incident. Officers arrested Motton at the scene.

Wednesday afternoon, the Circuit Attorney's Office charged Motton with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
