St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - Actor Jon Hamm, who grew up in St. Louis, is back in town, helping oversee a $45 million capital campaign project at John Burroughs School in Ladue.

Hamm, who went to John Burroughs, credits the high school with changing his life for the better. Hamm's mother passed away when he was just 10. Jon's father died when he was 20.

The 'Mad Men' star credits the John Burroughs community, both teachers and parents, with giving him direction and making him the success he is today.
