New Melle, Mo (KSDK) -- Some schools are honoring our veterans early since Veterans Day falls on Sunday.

Daniel Boone Elementary students in New Melle paid tribute to veterans at a special assembly Friday morning.

Students sang and performed for the vets.  Some students had the opportunity to walk alongside a vet.
