Ferguson-Florissant plans to start school on time

FERGUSON, Mo. (KSDK) – The Ferguson-Florissant School District will start its 2014-2015 school year as previously planned on Thursday, according to a post on the district's Facebook page.

The district has changed its Meet the Teachers events for Tuesday between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. McCluer High School New Student/9th grade back to school night will be Tuesday 2:30-4 p.m.

The district also posted the following statement:

We are heartbroken by the tragic events of recent days in and around the City of Ferguson. We are planning to receive and provide support to our students when school begins this Thursday, August 14 and we look forward to working closely with our community to heal and rebuild. Additional information, when it is available, will be posted here.
