Mehlville begins search for interim superintendent

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) – The Mehlville Board of Education will hire an interim superintendent while the search for a new, permanent selection starts.

The board hopes to have the interim superintendent hired by May 22 for the 2014-2015 school year.

Eric Knost announced recently that he accepted a position to become Rockwood School District superintendent and will leave July 1.

Beginning this fall, the board will perform a comprehensive search, including staff and community members interviewing the finalists. The board hopes the new hire would begin July 1, 2015.

The board is accepting applications from internal and external candidates for the interim position.
