Missouri College students could be eligible for debt relief

The students may be eligible to have their student loan debt forgiven.

After Missouri College closed the Brentwood campus and another campus in Kansas City Wednesday, the Missouri Attorney General said relief could be available.

The Missouri Attorney General said students and parents who took out federal educational loans may be eligible to have that federal loan debt forgiven.

That debt includes money borrowed under the PLUS Loan program, federal Direct Loans, Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program loans, or federal Perkins Loans.

Students who transfer their credits to another college would not be eligible.
