Randy Dunn hired as SIU president

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) – The Southern Illinois University board of trustees has selected its next university president.

Randy Dunn will be the eighth president of the university and replace retiring President Glenn Poshard. Dunn is currently the president of Youngstown State University in Ohio.

More than 100 people applied for the job in the five-month search for the position.

Poshard, who has served in the role since 2006, will step down from his post this June.
