Ranken works to recruit displaced ITT Tech students

Local community colleges are on stand-by to help ITT Tech transfers.

ST. LOUIS - Ranken Technical College is working to recruit students who have been displaced by the abrupt closure of ITT Technical Institute. 

It was announced Tuesday that all campuses of ITT Technical Institute nationwide would close after the government placed sanctions on the for-profit institution.

Now Ranken, a private, nonprofit institution is working to integrate ITT Tech's students.

Ranken says students can receive certificates, associate's degrees and bachelor's degrees in information technology, electrical, architecture, manufacturing, construction, and automotive curriculums.

ITT Tech students can receive a voucher to take a Credit by Assessment test to be admitted into one of Ranken's programs.

Both St. Louis area Ranken campuses will be holding open houses in the coming days specifically for ITT Tech students who are interested in attending Ranken.

St. Louis Ranken open house:

When: Tuesday, September 13 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Wentzville Ranken open house:

When: Thursday, September 15 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Monday, September 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
