SLPS Superintendent Adams agrees to 2-year contract

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – St. Louis Public School District Superintendent Kelvin Adams will continue leading the district with a new contract extension.

Adams agreed to a two-year contract extension that will go through June 30, 2016. Adams has served as superintendent since 2008.

According to Patrick Wallace, executive director of communications for SLPS, the district has eliminated its debt under Adams' tenure but has also operated a balanced budget for the past three years. He has also increased the number of full-day seats for preschool students by 50 percent.
