KSDK -- The Riverview Gardens School District will have an extra $14 million in funds after a financial error was corrected Thursday in Jefferson City.
State Representative Gina Walsh (D-Bellefontaine Neighbors) lobbied for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to recalculate the funding formula in order for the school district to get its money. The error was discovered after recalculating the formula.
State Senator Timothy Green (D-Spanish Lake) was able to amend the bill on Walsh's behalf on his side of the legislature.
