Family sets up fund for Valentine's Day stabbing victim

JONESBURG, Mo. (KSDK) – The family of a Warren County woman who was critically wounded after her estranged husband stabbed her on Valentine's Day has set up a GoFundMe site to pay for her medical bills.

Jessica Kavanagh, 27, is described by her family as a lover of old movies, singing and trying to brighten people's days.

Kavanagh's husband, Shawn, is charged with fatally stabbing two of Jessica's close friends and coworkers, who she was staying with after a previous domestic assault. An eight year old boy who was also inside the home is in critical condition.
