Farmington woman killed in motorcycle crash

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – A 33-year-old woman is dead and a 38-year-old man is seriously injured after the motorcycle they were both riding hit a median.

The crash happened on northbound US-67, about a tenth of a mile north of Shannon Road, at about 10 a.m. on Saturday.

According to an accident report from Missouri State Highway Patrol, a rear flat tire caused the driver – identified as Steven Nash of Farmington – to lose control of the motorcycle and travel off the road, before it turned on its side.

Police say the vehicle then hit a median cable, ejecting both Nash and the passenger, identified as Angela Young.

Young was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, and Nash remains in serious condition.
