St. Louis (KSDK) - A local organization is working to help uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients get treatment.
Gateway to Hope provides free healthcare to people who qualify. The organization is partnered with healthcare professionals who can treat patients suffering from breast cancer, or those who are at a high risk for the disease.
The nonprofit reports it has helped save 235 lives since it was founded in 2005 by two St. Louis area doctors.
