New York (WABC/CNN) - A family is fighting to keep a terminally ill woman in New York alive, even after she said she wants to die.
Grace Lee, 28, was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor one year ago, and a stroke last month left her paralyzed.
Her doctors say she has begged them to remove her breathing tube, but her parents have filed a lawsuit to keep her on life-support.
"This is someone who is inevitably dying within the next two weeks and two months who is hooked up to all these life-sustaining contraptions saying, you know what, I have had enough. It is time for me to be at peace," said David Smith, Grace Lee's attorney.
Lee's father, a minister, says his religion forbids taking her off life-support, considering it suicide and saying she'll go to hell.
The parents say their daughter is heavily-medicated and depressed.
Lee's doctors disagree, saying her judgment is not impaired.
