St. Louis County (KSDK) - A St. Louis surgery has shut down sooner than expected.
The Plaza Surgery Center on Tesson Ferry Road in south St. Louis County was supposed to close in January, but a spokesperson for St. Anthony's Medical Center says the doors closed November 16.
The spokesperson says the closure was part of the hospital's plan to save $22 million, and no additional jobs were cut.
Doctors are still doing outpatient procedures at St. Anthony's Heart and Surgical Pavilion.
