ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - There's an amazing medical development coming out of St. Louis.
Washington University researchers are buzzing about a potential breakthrough in the fight against HIV.
They're working on a new study here in St. Louis that shows a toxin in bee venom can destroy the virus. That's different from current treatments, which use drug therapy to keep the virus from replicating.
The research was supported by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
