Canadian who traveled to Africa may have Ebola

SASKATCHEWAN, Canada - A man is hospitalized in Saskatchewan with symptoms of Ebola.

Dr. Denise Werker says the patient recently returned from a trip to western Africa.

"Saskatchewan is currently investigating a case of, a suspect case of viral hemorrhagic fever. We have very limited information at this point in time. The person is hospitalized in an acute situation in an intensive care unit. The person traveled from Liberia," she said.

Health officials have taken steps to isolate the patient to keep the disease from spreading. They believe the risk to the public is low.
