Judge halts St. Louis red light camera ticket program

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A Circuit Court judge has halted the city's red light camera program, according to a news release.

The order prohibits the city of St. Louis from proceeding with any enforcement of the red light ticket ordinance, including payments for allegedly violations, sending collection letters related to red light camera tickets and sending any notices of violations and summons.

This stems from a November petition from Plaintiffs Sarah Tupper and Sandra Thurmond, who filed a petition to halt the city's red light program, arguing that it violates their legal rights, citing multiple court rulings from other Missouri municipalities.
