Why is it that no one is speaking out about the pipeline that, no doubt, will be run under the river after Donald Trump is in office?
Where are the people whose lives depend on clean water? You would think people whose livelihood comes from the clean river water like Web Water, Quality on Tap, RWS, Lewis and Clark (just to name a few) and their customers who depend on it for drinking, cooking and bathing, would be supporting the Native Americans.
How about the fishermen, the board from the Walleye Classic and all fishermen who fish tournaments on the river? Or, the farmers and ranchers who use river water to grow crops or whose livestock drink from the river? Crops cannot use water mixed with oil. Livestock can’t drink water mixed with oil. Then, there are the waterfowl hunters. Birds won’t land in water that is mixed with oil.
Why are all these people letting the Native Americans fight this pipeline alone? They elected the state’s representative and senators. Write them and let them know that you stand with the Native Americans. Be people who stand up and be counted. I’m ashamed of the way you people are acting. It is time to take a stand.
Just a man (and his wife) who like to leisure fish the river.
