EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – A $2.5 million investment to build a new swimming pool in East St. Louis was announced by Gov. Pat Quinn Friday.

The Illinois Jobs Now! program is behind the investment, which helps creates jobs that can push the state's economy forward.

The investment will go to the East St. Louis Park District, which will replace the pool at Pop Myles Swimming Complex in Lincoln Park.
