200 pets find new homes during Stray Rescue adoptathon

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) – Stray Rescue's recent "The One" adoptathon paid off in a big way with more than 200 stray dogs and cats getting adopted.

The rescue shelter offered pets for adoption for $14 for more than 14 days to help save animals and free up space.

The shelter also received a bit of a boost with the start of the Friends of Stray Rescue $100K Matching grant, which was started by the Bagby and Kubick families, Kathryn G. Favre Foundation and Barret's Buddies and Barret Jackman's foundation.

For every dollar donated to Stray Rescue, the grant will guarantee a doubling of each up to $100,000.
